For this redesign, I was challenged to create a cover that would make this classic novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, more appealing for a YA audience to pick up off the shelf.
I wanted to capture an elegant and dramatic feel through my color using and the typography on the front cover. I photographed a broken mirror to create even more drama and intrigue. Additionally, I used similar elements of the ornate mirror border on the back cover to create harmony throughout the entire design.
